Foreword
Thank you for choosing the Luminus Lighttech LU-400 Hybrid — a compact beam/spot/wash hybrid moving head with CMY colour mixing, colour wheel, rotating and fixed gobos, two prisms, frost and zoom.
This document describes commissioning, operation, care and troubleshooting of the fixture. Read this manual — especially the Safety Instructions chapter — completely before first use, and keep it together with the fixture. If the fixture is passed on to a third party, this manual must be included.
The LU-400 Hybrid is built to IP20 for indoor use — stages, clubs, studios and touring setups. It is not suitable for humid or excessively dusty environments; keep the fixture clean and service it roughly every three months.
Check the package contents for completeness and transport damage after unpacking.

If the external cable is damaged, it must be replaced with a cable of the type specified by the manufacturer or its service agent. The mains voltage used must match the voltage indicated on the rating label and must be protected by overload/leakage protection. Do not connect too many fixtures to a single power cable.
Connect fixtures exclusively in series (not in parallel) via 3-pin XLR cables: DMX OUT of the previous fixture to DMX IN of the next. Each fixture has its own address code, set via the control panel.

The fixture supports English, German and Chinese as well as mirrored display. The touchscreen provides the following settings:

Chapter 05
In scene-editing mode the fixture does not receive DMX console data — edited values are reflected on the fixture immediately. Up to 10 scenes can be stored.

The colour wheel combines 9 fixed base colours, 8 transitional mixed colours, and a rainbow run effect (forward and reverse). Colour names and DMX ranges correspond to the illustration below:
